HAPPINESS

Slowly working my way through 2014m photos.... this is the last of the March layouts... just some divided pages to complete....

This layout is of my lovely Aunty Audrey...taken at a family BBQ brunch after her granddaughter, Rachel's engagement party.

She looked stunning in the hot pink.. but it is a colour I struggle to scrap with.... actually I don't do "pink" even tho I do have 2 daughters.

I used the sketch from Lets get sketchy week-1

She loved having her photo taken....she is an amazing lady... still going strong at 87 years old.

I have used some retired Stampin Up DSP Gingham Garden... the coloured worked well with Aunty Aud's top.

I also used the new Hearts boarder punch and then used some of the hearts on the page itself.

GRINS & GIGGLES

I am playing catch up with all my photos.... I had an evening of filing to see where I was up to... so now it is time to fill in the gaps and finish 2014..

These photos are from March 2014.. Jeff and I went to the Bruce Springsteen Concert with my sister Rhonda and hubby Greg...."Brucie Babe" is the first ever album Rhonda ever brought so she was extra excited to be going...

I used the lovely sketch from Lets get sketchy... the week 3 sketch

We had lots of fun taking "selfies"... I am sure the people around us must have thought we were mad... but we were having fun.

I have used the lovely Best day ever DSP from Stampin up 2015 Sale a bration... all the embellishments are also from Stampin up.

PILOT BAY...

After watching the cruise boat leave we wandered back to Pilot Bay... it was just a picture...

I also took a photo of a ship that some one drew on the sand... I took the photo from up on the path and then scrapped it "upside down"

I used the lovely sketch over at My scraps &more sketches #97

It is such a great sketch... I have used more of great Basic Grey range of papers and I am trying to use some of my large stash of "stuff"

DAD & DAUGHTERS

It was great to have all the kids home for Christmas.... one of the nights Jeff, myself and the girls walked part way around the Mount to watch a cruise boat leave.    I took some photos as we walked back to Pilot bay and used some to complete the  sketch over at Sketch n scrap #72

For this sketch I have turned it around and used larger photos.... but I love the way it came together.... When I asked them to stop and let me take the photos... Kylie was decided the back view was all I was getting.... then it was face pulling..... before I finally got a lovely photo of Jeff with Kylie and Monique...

I have used Basic Grey... Spice Trader papers with lace and embellishments from Stampin Up.

FAMILY FUN

While down in Wellington/Wairarapa in December I got together with my sisters for a lovely BBQ on a very warm and balmy Wellington evening....

I love these photos of my sisters (Lynette & Rhonda) and Rhonda's husband Greg... the expressions are just great.

The sketch over at Stuck sketches worked really well for them.....

I have used some lovely papers from Basic Grey .... Highline range... the words on the paper worked perfectly with these photo.... they summed up every one...

I also did a couple  of divided pages to complete my quick visit south...

STOCK CAR FUN NIGHT!

The other night we decided a trip to the Stock car racing at Baypark Speedway would be a good family outing....

A lovely dusty night was had by all that attended and it was compulsory dust off before getting in the car for the trip home and shower when we all got home.... the red dust just gets into everything...

I have done a 12x12 layout on a sketch from My scraps& More sketches blog

I used the ticket stub as the title.....

Then I have done some divided pages to finished of the evening....

WHERE HAVE THE LAST 10 YEARS GONE?

My very lovely and special Mum passed away 10 years ago on 5th June 2014.... as I always do when I am in Carterton I go and visit Mum.... she is always home even though I don't tell her I am in town.

I generally take new flowers and do some housework around the outside of her " house"....

I did this page in memory of Mum based on the the lovely sketch from Lets get sketchy

I have used some great papers from the Basic Grey ... Spice Traders range.... the colours worked beautifully with the flowers I have just given Mum....

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Gosh time flies when you are having fun...... where have I been.... as the saying goes...

"I have been everywhere man".....

August came and went with a quick trip to Wellington for Sandra's 50th and over the hill to Greytown to see Dad before we ventured off on our 5 week tour of the USA....

Approximately 3000 photos later we arrived home.... still to sort out those photo... that will be a rainy couple of days task I am sure....  then which ones to print... which ones to scrap 12x12 and then all those memories to be put into divided pages.

October - December.... not sure where those months have gone.... but the New Year is here and I am getting back into my favourite pass time SCRAPBOOKING...

So watch this space....
