CAPTAIN JEFF

Recently Jeff and the kids went out on my daughters boyfriends boat fishing for the day... and Jeff got to be Captain for while...

I have used the sketch over at My scraps & more sketches #77

He had lots of fun "being in charge".

I have used Stampin Up High Tide papers for this and had some fun with washi tape... love this product.

UP!

Recently my husband, Jeff & daughter Kylie completed the Tongariro Crossing.... it is an amazing walk with some equally amazing scenery.... so there will be a few layouts to follow...

The first one is for LGS #3

This is my husband walking up one many of the "up" parts of the crossing....it is 19km in distance but it took them 9 hours to complete due to the many photo stops and inclines they had to complete.

I have used the lovely new range of Basic Grey papers for this layout... spice market.

CUTE KIDS

For this next photo I used the lovely sketch over at Stuck sketches

I found this very cute photo of my children....

This was a "pixi-foto" take about 18 years ago.... the kids are now 19, 21 & 23 years old.... I love getting some of these older photos scraped up....  they are going to be treasured for future years to come.

THE BIG ONE

I have just had an amazing weekend away at a Scrap booking retreat, we did some amazing classes and had lots of fun.....

I will share some of this later but firstly here is a layout I created for Artfullcrafts - April-2014

I have turned this sketch around as this worked better with the photos I had to work with.... this is my husband catching the fish of the day..... the hook was almost bigger than the fish....

I have used the Stampin Up High Tide range of papers and had a bit of fun with washi tape and creating a boarder around the page.

GRANDAD HAS ARRIVED

I have found this new blog with some more great sketches on it...

This is the first one I have done.... it is for Lets capture our memories-sketch-67

and I have done this layout...

this is my Dad arriving on Christmas day after Kylie and Jeff collected him from the "resort".. I am so pleased with how this one came together and it show cased the photos off really well....

I have used Stampin Up Soho.

THE CAKES

I have used the sketch at LGS #1.......

to show off the cakes that I made for my husbands 50th and daughters 21st

My daughter wanted a "Jack 'n the box" and I made a pint of beer for my husbands cake.... both of them were chocolate..... they came up really well..

I used Stampin Up Birthday basics DSP.

FRIENDS

I love multiple photo layouts.... so the sketch over at Stuck sketches

worked really well with these photos of my daughter at her 21st with friends

I have used the lovely Venetian Romance DSP from Stampin up

JUST LOOKING

When setting up the Rowing club for my husband 50th and daughters 21st..... we had the doors open onto the deck to check out the view....

When all was done Jeff, Kylie and Aunty Evonne popped out for a bit to check it out..... I took these photos from inside and with the sunlight out of the door frames, it framed the photos...

I used the sketch from Scrapmuch

I am really pleased with the impact of the Black 'n white on this layout.

YOU & ME!

Gosh where has April gone.....  I have just had a lovely weekend away in Wellington catching up with family and friends.

The friends we were staying with introduced me to scrap booking all those years ago... and so I took some limited supplies with me... and us girls did a bit of scraping while the boys watched TV together and had some male bonding time!

I managed to get four layouts completed, along with some divided pages.....

The first one is from Lets get sketchy #2

This photo was taken of myself and Kylie having a drink on Christmas Eve in Martinborough.... they had these lovely comfy chairs out on the pavement.... it was lovely.

I have used Stampin Up "I am me" DSP....

FAMILY @ THE MOUNT

I love the April sketch over at Sketch n scrap #54

I turned the sketch around and mainly used cards to layer it up.   I have mainly used the Simple Stories range.

This was a fun photo taken by self-timer, sitting on a fence post, between people walking around the Mount..... no easy task as it can get very busy on this walk.
