FINISHED!!

Yes after a 9 1/2 hour walk they made it home....  I have used  the lovely sketch from over at sketch n scrap #60

Although they have used 3 photos in this sketch... I used a large 6x6 photo and a 4x4" and I am really pleased how it came out.....

Again I have used some retired Stampin Up card stock and DSP and accessorized from there....

AMAZING VIEW

For this layout I have used the versatile sketch over at Once upon a sketch

This is one of my favourite photos taken on the crossing.... it really shows off what an amazing place it is.

I had fun doing the back ground with a couple masks and then built up the page from there adding a bit here and there.

FRIENDS TOGETHER

WoW!!!  I love the sketch over at Stuck sketches this month and it was so much fun to do....

Yes more photos of the Tongaririo Crossing.... nearly finished and I can start a new topic.

I have used still more Stampin Up retired papers... but they work really well with these photos... but I did get to use my new Stampin up punch "Whats Up"... to punch out the great arrows... it makes both arrows... I can see this punch getting a work out.....

TONGARIRO MINI ALBUM

This is the fun mini album I did for for my daughter Kylie.... it is the adventures of her and Jeff (her Dad) completing the Tongariro Crossing

I am loving doing these albums... taught to me by the wonderful Paula Chaney ..... she taught this class at Autumn Escape

This is the second one I have completed... I did one for my sister Rhonda for her birthday documenting our outing to the Bruce Springsteen concert.... (oops forgot to photograph that one!)

The both loved them... and I have got more planned... they are so much fun to make, but time consuming... but so worth it.

I loved the simplicity of this sketch.... they are at the 17km mark... only 2.4kms to go!!!!

Again I have used some retired Stampin Up DSP

FABULOUS

Very excited as I got another to pages completed last night...

Both are for Lets Get Sketchy sketches...

The first one LGS week-4

I am still working my way through some amazing photos from when Jeff and Kylie completed the Tongariro Crossing in November..... Love this photo of Kylie.....

Love this sketch... and it was great to do it as a multi-photo layout

I am working my way through my retired Stampin Up papers....

MULTIPLE CARDS

Part of the reason there has been a lack of blogging on my part is.... there have been some challenging health issues within our family and friends...

Sometimes it is hard to know how to help and distance can sometimes be a challenge as well but...  this is a way I find is always very helpful....

I have been making packs of cards..... I make them generic and normally without a sentiment on them so they can be used for many occasions.... they are always very well received and helps in a time of need.

LOVE THIS DAUGHTER

oH my Gosh!!!.... where have I been... just very busy with day to day life... and I have been doing a couple of other project... being a very cute Mini Album that the lovely Paula Cheney taught us at Autumn Escape this year...

Photos of this project will follow soon.

So I am now trying to get back in to my scrapping as I have a mountain of photos to get through (again)

I am really enjoying using distress paints, mists and mask... they create such a wonderful easy background to any page.... add a bit of washi tape and a couple of flowers and it is done...

And as part of this challenge journalling had to be added (hidden or otherwise)  This photo is of Jeff and I having our photo taken for our 26th Wedding Anniversary... as we were about to have the photo taken our daughter skyped us from Nelson and insisted on being in the photo too... hence we are holding the ipad..

I have put my journalling on a tag behind the photo.

Thanks for popping by and hopefully I will get a few my pages done.   See you all again soon.

CAPTAIN JEFF

Recently Jeff and the kids went out on my daughters boyfriends boat fishing for the day... and Jeff got to be Captain for while...

I have used the sketch over at My scraps & more sketches #77

He had lots of fun "being in charge".

I have used Stampin Up High Tide papers for this and had some fun with washi tape... love this product.

UP!

Recently my husband, Jeff & daughter Kylie completed the Tongariro Crossing.... it is an amazing walk with some equally amazing scenery.... so there will be a few layouts to follow...

The first one is for LGS #3

This is my husband walking up one many of the "up" parts of the crossing....it is 19km in distance but it took them 9 hours to complete due to the many photo stops and inclines they had to complete.

I have used the lovely new range of Basic Grey papers for this layout... spice market.

CUTE KIDS

For this next photo I used the lovely sketch over at Stuck sketches

I found this very cute photo of my children....

This was a "pixi-foto" take about 18 years ago.... the kids are now 19, 21 & 23 years old.... I love getting some of these older photos scraped up....  they are going to be treasured for future years to come.

THE BIG ONE

I have just had an amazing weekend away at a Scrap booking retreat, we did some amazing classes and had lots of fun.....

I will share some of this later but firstly here is a layout I created for Artfullcrafts - April-2014

I have turned this sketch around as this worked better with the photos I had to work with.... this is my husband catching the fish of the day..... the hook was almost bigger than the fish....

I have used the Stampin Up High Tide range of papers and had a bit of fun with washi tape and creating a boarder around the page.

GRANDAD HAS ARRIVED

I have found this new blog with some more great sketches on it...

This is the first one I have done.... it is for Lets capture our memories-sketch-67

and I have done this layout...

this is my Dad arriving on Christmas day after Kylie and Jeff collected him from the "resort".. I am so pleased with how this one came together and it show cased the photos off really well....

I have used Stampin Up Soho.

THE CAKES

I have used the sketch at LGS #1.......

to show off the cakes that I made for my husbands 50th and daughters 21st

My daughter wanted a "Jack 'n the box" and I made a pint of beer for my husbands cake.... both of them were chocolate..... they came up really well..

I used Stampin Up Birthday basics DSP.

FRIENDS

I love multiple photo layouts.... so the sketch over at Stuck sketches

worked really well with these photos of my daughter at her 21st with friends

I have used the lovely Venetian Romance DSP from Stampin up

JUST LOOKING

When setting up the Rowing club for my husband 50th and daughters 21st..... we had the doors open onto the deck to check out the view....

When all was done Jeff, Kylie and Aunty Evonne popped out for a bit to check it out..... I took these photos from inside and with the sunlight out of the door frames, it framed the photos...

I used the sketch from Scrapmuch

I am really pleased with the impact of the Black 'n white on this layout.

YOU & ME!

Gosh where has April gone.....  I have just had a lovely weekend away in Wellington catching up with family and friends.

The friends we were staying with introduced me to scrap booking all those years ago... and so I took some limited supplies with me... and us girls did a bit of scraping while the boys watched TV together and had some male bonding time!

I managed to get four layouts completed, along with some divided pages.....

The first one is from Lets get sketchy #2

This photo was taken of myself and Kylie having a drink on Christmas Eve in Martinborough.... they had these lovely comfy chairs out on the pavement.... it was lovely.

I have used Stampin Up "I am me" DSP....

FAMILY @ THE MOUNT

I love the April sketch over at Sketch n scrap #54

I turned the sketch around and mainly used cards to layer it up.   I have mainly used the Simple Stories range.

This was a fun photo taken by self-timer, sitting on a fence post, between people walking around the Mount..... no easy task as it can get very busy on this walk.

WOW..... this is great

Warrick totally loved his choices for our meal at The Grill.... and I used the sketch at Scrapmuch
to show this off......

I love this sketch.... it was a fun one to complete ...... I used strips of corrugated cardboard for the frame.

CHEERS @ THE GRILL

Recently we had the pleasure of dining at The Grill in Auckland.... we just love this restaurant.   I used the sketch over at LGS... week 3

It was great to catch up with Warrick while he was in Auckland for a brief visit.   We had an amazing meal with some very fine wines.

It was also Chinese New Year and the street was all decorated with Chinese lanterns which looked amazing, and the enamel dots worked really well on this layout.

EASTER RABBIT

A couple of weeks ago we had our Delinkquents Stampin' Up team training... we had lots of fun using the envelope punch board.... it is amazing what this very simple board can do.

One of our team (Karen Ross)  made this great rabbit with the bow die

I don't have the bow die.... and so I set about to make one with my punches and punch board.....

I am really pleased with the way it all came together.... very cute indeed.... the hardest part of making this was getting the damm pebbles to lie flat in the cello tubes.

ME & DAD

I really like the sketch over at Stuck sketches

It is a very versatile sketch that I quickly whipped up 2 layouts

The first layout I used the sketch as it is:

and for the second edition of this sketch I turned it around and this is what I produced

All of these photos were taken when Kylie, Cameron and I took Dad out for a drive to the very lovely Lake Ferry for their famous Fish 'n Chip lunch.

We had a great day.

For these layouts I used the very versatile This & That Epic Day DSP from Stampin up.

POP-UP

I have seen lots of the pop up... card in ... a box cards and thought I would have a go at making one...

We have an engagement party to go to this weekend and so I have made this card for the happy couple.

They are so much fun to make..... I have used the lovely Stampin Up Winter Frost DSP.... I love this paper and I have used it for so many projects.

I made a floral one for my mother in laws birthday.... but forgot to photograph that one and it is currently winging its way to Palmerston North.

RACE DAY WITH THE GIRLS

I have a lovely photo of my daughter and her girlfriends which I have used the great sketch over at My scraps & more sketches

This photo was taken in January 2013 at the Tauranga Races.... as the girls are getting older it is less often they are all together so it was great to get this photo.
